Personal Statement
I have been a radio announcer, producer and news director for more than a decade. I draw on my professional experience to illustrate many of the theories covered in our major courses. For instance, when we discuss the concept of localism in the media industries class, I describe my work at FM radio stations that sounded local but were staffed by disc jockeys in another state.
